Patrick De Oliveira

Sound Designer

Self-taught author, composer, performer and sound engineer for live performance, Patrick de Oliveira has been developing dreamlike, poetic compositions for several years. His music is a blend of electronic, acoustic and organic sounds, at the service of the body and words. For him, every body in motion in his daily life, and every vocal range, contains a musicality, an emotion that he likes to translate into his compositions. Using a variety of electronic and acoustic instruments, as well as microphonic recordings and the manipulation of concrete sounds on various sup-ports, he composes and imagines his musical works.

In his works, he likes to bring different worlds together to create a singular musical syncretism evocative of contemporary society. For the theater, he composes soundtracks for Arnaud Meunier, Riad Gahmi, Matthieu Cruciani, Elsa Imbert, Pauline Laidet and Parelle Gervaso-ni. He has also worked with actors such as Rachida Brakni, Philippe Torreton, Éric Cantona, Anne Brochet and Vincent Garanger. For dance, Patrick collaborates with Souhail Mar-chiche and Mehdi Meghari’s Cie Dyptik, Mellina Boubetra’s Cie Etra, Fabrice Lambert’s L’expérience Harmaat, Cie D.Dal and the Ben Aïm brothers. He also composes music for advertising videos (Nike, Isko, Marithe et François Girbaud, Hôtel Flanelles Paris, Métier London…). For several years now, Patrick has been writing and directing choreographic and theatrical works for the Cie Sans Lettres, which he co-founded: he produced Le dernier qui s’en souvienne, Cette(7)voi(es)x, Et le mur fut ma porte and L’embellie. In 2025, he joined the BurnOut company as composer for the creation of Imminentes.
